We start our tour in Wadowice , the little town where everything began. Here you will visit the family house of Karol Wojtyła to see many photographs, publications and memorabilia e.g. Pope’s skis and clothes arranged in the original interiors. Later you will enter the Basilica where little Karol was baptized. Next, you will visit Kalwaria Zebrzydowska where you will enter the Sanctuary famous for the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Calvary. The park located around the sanctuary is filled with little churches, chapels and statues that are stations of the Way of the Cross. The hill where the Way of the Cross is situated imitates Golgota. In 1999 Kalwaria Zebrzydowska was added to the World Heritage List of UNESCO. On our way back to Cracow you will have an opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy where saint sister Faustina Kowalska had her revelations. Back in the city centre of Cracow you will see the famous Pope’s Window in Bishops39 Palace on Franciszkańska Street. It is the spot where youth used to gather at the end of the day to listen to words of John Paul II during his pilgrimages to Cracow.
